d13 – vorstellung von kunst. wird | ist | war. ein experiment.

dieses experiment beginnt im juni 2010, zwei jahre bevor die documenta 13 stattfindet. für jeden tag der documenta 13 steht – chronologisch angeordnet - ein leeres einliter einmachglas als imaginationsraum. über die zeit wird sich die perspektive auf die installation wandeln. sie selbst allerdings wird aufgrund ihrer materialität kaum altern bzw. nur sehr feine patina entwickeln – sie bleibt nicht nur vordergründig gleich für den betrachter. der betrachter hingegen wird seine wahrnehmung auf die arbeit aus seinem subjektiven kontext erleben, der sich durch den lauf der zeit zu wandeln scheint. ist die wandlung wirklich objektiv oder nicht objektiv nur subjektiv?

was assoziierst du mit der dokumenta 13. was bedeuten dir hundert tage zeit? haben hundert tage zeit eine andere bedeutung, wenn sie nicht die 100 dokumenta tage sind? wie fühlst du zwei jahre zukunft, wie fühlst du sie, wenn du auf sie schon heute zurückzublicken versuchst?
zukünftiges wird zur gegenwart um in die vergangenheit einzutauchen.

d13 – art imagination. will be | is | was. an experiment.

this experiment begins in june 2010, two years before the documenta 13 takes place. each day of the documenta 13 is symbolized by a one-liter preserving jar, arranged in chronological order, as a space for imagination. over time, the perspective of the installation will change. the installation itself though will only minimally age due to its materiality, or develop merely a very light patina. for the viewer, it will ostensibly stay the same. yet, the viewer’s perception of the work will occur in the subjective context of her or his viewing experience, which is transformed in the course of time. the differentiation between subjectiveness and objectiveness as well as their transformations over time are the key questions.

what do you associate with the documenta 13? what do 100 days of time mean to you? do 100 days of time have another meaning, if they are not 100 days of documenta? how do you perceive two years of future, and how do you perceive them, if you try looking back at them from today’s perspective? the future turns into the present in order to dive into the past.
